Regulation of anchoring and navigation in the Maro – Cerro Gordo Natural Area

Regulations for Anchoring and Navigation in the Maro-Cerro Gordo Cliffs Natural Area:

– Anchoring is prohibited outside of designated anchorage areas at all times.

– Vessels not involved in scuba diving activities are not permitted to moor to the buoys designated for these activities.

– Recreational boating is only permitted more than 200 meters from the beach and more than 50 meters from the rest of the coastline.

– Navigation within the Reserve Area is prohibited. Access from the sea to beaches, cliffs, and coves with motorboats is also prohibited.

– Respect cetaceans and do not pursue them. If a dolphin or group of dolphins approaches your vessel, continue sailing while maintaining your speed and course.

– Remember that recreational sea fishing is also prohibited in this protected area.
